Incline
Village, Nevada

In the
late 1950's a group of developers from Oklahoma purchased 9,000
acres of untouched land on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. This
purchase was from a colorful gentleman named George Whittel
who at the time owned the entire east shore from Crystal Bay
to Zephyr Cove and builder of the famous Thunderbird lodge.
This
land was to become Incline Village the only master planned community
at Lake Tahoe. Over 30 years later Incline Village has evolved
into one of the most sought after communities at Lake Tahoe.
Today
Incline Village offers a vast array of recreational facilities
and programs, including two world class golf courses, designed
by Robert Trent Jones, superb downhill and cross country skiing,
some of Tahoe's most beautiful and least crowded private beaches,
and nationally recognized tennis complex. There is also a boat
ramp, outdoor heated pool at one of the two homeowners beaches,
athletic fields, hiking and exercise trail 'Is and a new 37,000
square foot recreation center. In just the past few years Crystal
Bay has been included in the use of these amenities.
One
of the most obvious reason families considers relocation to
Nevada is the light tax burden, one of the lowest in the country.
Nevada has no personal income no estate or gift tax, and low
property taxes. The January 1991 issue of Money Magazine ranks
the state of Nevada as sixth on their list of "Tax Havens".
Incline
Village has become the Beverly Hills of Lake Tahoe, an exclusive
lifestyle that is unmatched for quality and consistency. Residents
and property owners come from all over the world. They are recreationally
active, environmentally protective and one thing in common,
their love of Incline Village and Lake Tahoe. The clear crisp
clean air, pure clean water from Lake Tahoe without the need
for purification and the enjoyment one feels for the change
of each new season are reasons to join the few who call Incline
Village home.
