is a list of most commonly asked questions about condominium
ownership:
- WHAT ARE PRICES
OF HOMES VS. CONDOMINIUMS?
Varied, depending upon location, floorplan, view, and square
footage and other distinguishing features of an individual property.
- DO CONDOMINIUMS
APPRECIATE AS WELL AS SINGLE FAMILY HOMES?
Yes. Again, features of an individual property and development
are determining factors.
- WHAT DO MY HOMEOWNER'S
ASSOCIATION DUES COVER?
Fire insurance, Exterior maintenance and repair, upkeep of the
amenities, and snow removal, generally.
- COULD HOMEOWNER'S
DUES BE TAX DEDUCTIBLE? Possibly, depending upon the recommendations
of your tax adviser and how often you rent and use the property.
- WOULD I BE ALLOWED
TO HAVE A PET?
If the CC&R's of the development allow. Generally, owners may
have pets but renters may not bring pets to the projects.
- WHAT ARE THE GOVERNING
DOCUMENTS AND HOW ARE RULES SET WITHIN THE PROJECTS?
The CC&R's and By-laws define what is allowed and any revisions
must be by majority vote of the owners within a project.
- CAN I RENT MY CONDOMINIUM
?
O'Neal Brokers property management contract allows owners to
rent their properties and pay no commission fee on homeowner
bookings.
- WHAT TYPES OF AMENITIES
ARE AVAILABLE WITHIN CONDOMINIUM PROJECTS?
This varies. Some developments have swimming pools, tennis courts,
piers, buoys, or ski-in, ski-out locations.
- WOULD 1 BE ALLOWED
TO REMODEL MY CONDOMINIUM?
Yes, to the extent that the CC&R's of the project allow. Generally,
alternations are subject to the review and approval of a Design
and Review
